|I was born as they say “Back in ‘02” yes that’s 2002 and I was adopted to a nice lady in 2006. Don’t know the date but many years later my owner passed away. I think family members took me in but they were not really “dog People” and my care diminished.
Late last month I somehow ended up at the South Animal Shelter and the sheriff’s office called Greyhound Pets who responded right away to what turned out to be another rescue for me. They quickly bathed me with medicated shampoo and treated my skin condition successfully and trimmed my long long nails and even cleaned by ears. Been waiting for all that for a long time. It made me feel great.
I was taken to the local veterinarian and had my teeth cleaned, blood work done, got all my vaccinations up to date and was found to be heartworm negative . I heard the vet tell the GPA rep that all my blood values were great and that I was like a much younger girl than my actually age. When I raced, I weighed 54 pounds and that is what I weigh now. Pretty good isn’t it.
If you live locally, please, please consider giving me a nice home I don’t want to travel too far. Someone told me “There is not greater gift than to make the last years the best years of a dog’s life”.
